When these policies apply

These policies apply through the acceptance process or effective-date notice described in each document. Material changes for existing members take effect only after the required notice and, where required, renewed acceptance. Previously confirmed bookings retain their accepted terms. Publication alone does not authorize a subscription, charge, optional data sharing or marketing.

On this page
  1. 1. Service and marketing messages are different
  2. 2. Frequency, cost and eligibility
  3. 3. Stop, help and consent revocation
  4. 4. Conversations, providers and privacy
  5. 5. Changes and responsibility

These terms govern Journey's SMS and other supported messaging programs and supplement the Terms & Conditions at journey.com/terms and Privacy Policy at journey.com/privacy. Journey Concierge/Threads AI functions also require their separate supplemental terms. Messaging availability varies by location, carrier and channel.

1. Service and marketing messages are different

When you request a sign-in code or authorize a service message, we may send the corresponding code, security notice, booking update, requested follow-up or account communication to the number or channel you provide, within the scope of the request and applicable law. Providing a telephone number does not authorize every possible promotional message.

Marketing texts require separate express opt-in. The enrollment disclosure identifies Journey as sender, the number used, the recurring/automated nature of messages and how to stop them. Consent to marketing is not a condition of membership or purchase. A partner's independent marketing consent must identify that partner where required and is not automatically obtained by Journey network enrollment.

2. Frequency, cost and eligibility

Message frequency varies with requested activity and the program disclosed at opt-in. Message and data rates may apply. Journey does not charge a separate SMS participation fee unless an expressly purchased service says otherwise. You must be an eligible adult and the subscriber or authorized user of the number. Tell us promptly when the number changes or is reassigned. Do not enroll another person's number without authority.

3. Stop, help and consent revocation

Reply STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE or QUIT, use available settings, email concierge@journey.com or otherwise communicate a reasonable request to stop messages. We honor revocation promptly and within the applicable legal deadline, including its required scope across covered message categories. We may send a single lawful opt-out confirmation. We do not require account closure to stop consent-based service texts.

Stopping texts may prevent delivery of codes, reminders or other messages on that channel. Where available, use another permitted sign-in or communication method or contact support. A fresh request for a single verification code authorizes that requested code only, not re-enrollment in marketing. A STOP request does not cancel a membership subscription or a booking. You may separately change email or push preferences; we apply broader revocation effects when law requires them.

Reply HELP for supported automated help, or contact concierge@journey.com or +1 (888) 990-4712. Do not send urgent safety requests or sensitive credentials by SMS. Delivery and response are not guaranteed. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages, subject to mandatory law.

4. Conversations, providers and privacy

Some numbers deliver automated notices and do not monitor ordinary replies; others support two-way Concierge conversations. The relevant interface or message identifies the available support mode. A message may be handled by AI, authorized Journey personnel or an identified recipient, with disclosure where required. Do not assume a booking or action occurred until confirmed through the designated process.

Messaging providers process numbers, message contents and delivery metadata needed for the service under applicable restrictions. We do not share SMS marketing opt-in consent or its associated opt-in records with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing; necessary processing by service providers remains permitted. This does not prevent a member-directed disclosure of a contact number to a hotel for a booking or a separately obtained partner marketing consent. The Privacy Policy explains retention, recipients, transfers and rights.

5. Changes and responsibility

We may change messaging capabilities or providers with required notice and consent. Changing these terms does not revive revoked permission. The Terms & Conditions govern lawful disclaimers, liability and dispute resolution, including any applicable arbitration and its exceptions. These terms do not waive telecommunications, privacy or consumer rights. Contact legal@journey.com for legal notices or privacy@journey.com for privacy requests.
