# Journey Booking Terms & Conditions

These Booking Terms apply to consumer reservations and purchases made through Journey Rewards Inc., including its Journey, Journey Experiences and Epicurate services, websites, mobile apps and identified booking interfaces on partner domains. They supplement the Journey Terms & Conditions at [journey.com/terms](https://www.journey.com/terms). Experience bookings also use the Experience Booking Terms at [journey.com/experience-terms](https://www.journey.com/experience-terms) and [epicurate.vip/experiences/terms](https://epicurate.vip/experiences/terms). Journey membership and points are governed by the Membership & Loyalty Terms and Earning Terms.

Before selecting the final booking control, review these terms and the transaction-specific conditions linked beside it. Your affirmative booking acceptance applies to that transaction. A later revision governs new bookings, not a reservation already confirmed under earlier terms. The general Terms include an individual arbitration agreement for eligible United States disputes, exceptions and a 30-day opt-out.

## 1. Scope, eligibility and authority

These terms cover accommodations, designated experiences, dining/spa or other service bookings, credits, upgrades and ground transportation offered through the platform, including services sourced through third-party distributors. A feature or category described here is not a promise that it is available. Insurance, where offered lawfully, is governed by the identified insurer's separate policy. Air, cruise, rail or packaged services require their own applicable offer and legal disclosures if introduced; these terms do not silently authorize their sale.

The booking account holder must be at least 18 and of legal majority, satisfy Journey eligibility rules and have authority to use the payment method. The provider may impose a higher check-in or participation age. When booking for others, obtain the authority needed to make the reservation and share their information, communicate the applicable rules, and obtain any required individual waiver or consent separately. You cannot waive another adult's rights or enroll them in marketing without authority. An authorized adult must supervise minors as required by the activity and law.

## 2. Contracting parties and payment roles

The checkout and confirmation identify the actual property/service operator, any relevant intermediary, the merchant of record and the applicable transaction terms. The supplier provides the accommodation or other service and is responsible for its delivery and its own personnel and operations. Journey may source inventory directly or through a wholesaler, channel manager, distributor or platform, including Viator or Blacklane where identified.

Journey Rewards Inc., trading as Journey, Journey Experiences or Epicurate, may be merchant of record for a booking. In another disclosed arrangement, the provider or distribution partner is merchant of record and Journey supplies booking or payment-facilitation technology, including Stripe Connect. A brand is not a different contracting entity merely because its name appears on a statement. Stripe is a payment-services provider, not automatically the seller. We do not characterize every booking as Journey merchant of record or every supplier as an Alliance Partner.

Any limited collection or booking authority is confined to the disclosed role. We do not undertake a general fiduciary or travel-advisory relationship. An independent supplier's responsibilities are not transferred to Journey merely by listing it, accepting payment or providing support; equally, our actual payment, booking or statutory obligations are not disclaimed by calling ourselves a platform. Where payment is collected as an authorized collection agent, payment to that authorized collector satisfies the corresponding payment obligation to the supplier to that extent; a member is not required to pay twice because of a remittance failure.

## 3. Confirmation, accuracy and special requests

A booking request, payment authorization, research response, cart or itinerary is not confirmation. A booking is confirmed only by the designated written confirmation identifying the supplier/property and address, dates and local times, guest/participant details, booked category, inclusions, total price and payment/cancellation terms. Some suppliers require time to accept a request; a pending status is not a confirmed booking. Do not repeat an unresolved request without checking its status.

Check the confirmation promptly and report errors to concierge@journey.com. Prompt reporting helps correction, but failure to identify a hidden mapping error or report within 24 hours does not waive mandatory rights or transfer Journey's own responsibility to you. We may communicate with the lead guest and separately authorized contacts. A bed preference, adjoining-room request, accessibility request, early arrival or other special request is not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed. Confirm essential accessibility or suitability requirements before commitment.

## 4. Property-mapping and system errors during a fully refundable window

Third-party data and integrations can incorrectly match a supplier reservation to a listed property, address, room, rate plan, inventory item or service. A "Mapping Error" is a genuine discrepancy of this kind caused by erroneous mapping, data transmission or system processing, rather than a discretionary commercial decision to withdraw an accurately confirmed booking.

If Journey identifies a Mapping Error before the cancellation deadline at which the affected booking is fully refundable under the terms accepted at checkout, Journey may cancel the affected reservation without obtaining a further instruction from you, notify you promptly and refund all amounts paid for that affected booking to the original payment method. Identification includes receipt of a reasonably substantiated member or supplier report; internal processing delay does not reset that time. The deadline is the precise date, time and time zone disclosed at checkout, not an assumed end-of-day cutoff. Journey will initiate the cancellation promptly and will not pass a penalty to you because its processing occurs after the deadline following timely identification of the error.

The refund includes the affected booking's collected taxes and Journey booking/service fees, with no cancellation or processing deduction. Redeemed Journey Points are restored to their source wallet or pool; cash is not substituted for points. We will not make a refund we owe contingent on successful recovery from the distributor or supplier. Any later recovery is Journey's responsibility. Refund timing and unavailable original payment methods are addressed in Section 7.

TO THE EXTENT LAWFUL, CANCELLATION AND THAT FULL REFUND/POINTS RESTORATION ARE YOUR SOLE CONTRACTUAL REMEDY AGAINST JOURNEY FOR A MAPPING ERROR IDENTIFIED WITHIN THIS FULLY REFUNDABLE WINDOW. Journey does not promise replacement inventory, equivalent availability, an upgrade, a rate match or reimbursement of a more expensive replacement booking, price differences, lost savings, alternate accommodation, transportation, lost vacation time or other reliance or consequential costs, whether those costs were incurred or anticipated. We may offer assistance voluntarily without assuming those costs.

This limited remedy does not apply merely because some portion of a booking is refundable, or to an error first identified after the fully refundable deadline. Nor does it exclude Journey's fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, nonwaivable duties or remedies required by law. We will not substitute a different property, charge a higher amount or accept materially different conditions without your approval. You may decline an offered replacement. Older bookings retain the terms accepted when made; this clause does not retroactively diminish them.

## 5. Prices, fees and payment authorization

Before confirmation, prices and availability may change. Checkout identifies the charge currency, total price including mandatory charges as required by law, amounts payable now and later, charges payable locally, and material tax or exchange assumptions. Any mandatory amount that cannot lawfully be calculated in advance must be explained using the required basis. Supplier data limitations do not excuse legally required all-in price disclosures. A display currency estimate may differ from the actual charge currency, which must be shown before payment. Bank exchange rates and issuer fees are outside Journey's control, subject to law.

Obvious price or content errors may be corrected before confirmation. After confirmation, Journey may propose correction or cancel and refund where permitted by the accepted terms and law; it will not debit a higher price without approval. A genuine Mapping Error is handled under Section 4 when its conditions are met. Taxes changed by law, member-requested modifications and authorized incidentals may affect the total where the accepted terms and law allow.

Your payment approval covers the disclosed amount and any specifically accepted deposit, balance-payment schedule, hold and cancellation charge. Secure credential storage is a separate disclosed choice where required, not permission for unrelated recurring payments. Provider card-on-file transmission requires a clearly disclosed purpose and appropriate authorization and security; declining optional storage may mean providing a card directly to the property instead. Holds are not charges and release timing may depend on your bank.

If a payment fails, we may retry within the authorization and processor rules, request a valid method, or cancel in accordance with the accepted terms after reasonable notice where practicable. We may not automatically forfeit every amount and also collect the full price regardless of the applicable cancellation policy. Damage and incidental charges require a valid contractual and legal basis, reasonable evidence and an opportunity to contest them. No blanket right permits unapproved debits from every saved card.

## 6. Cancellation, modifications, no-show and supplier failure

The rate or service's specific cancellation policy controls voluntary cancellation, subject to mandatory law and the express Mapping Error remedy. For experience bookings, refunds exclude disclosed, non-recoverable payment-processing fees only as permitted by Section 5 of the Experience Booking Terms, applicable law and payment-network rules. The amount or calculation method and non-refundable treatment must be disclosed before acceptance; there is no undisclosed fee, markup or double recovery. No such deduction applies to an expressly fee-free refund, a required full refund or the Mapping Error remedy in Section 4. The applicable cancellation policy must state the deadline and time zone and the amount forfeited or refundable. Use the booking's designated cancellation process or Journey support for Journey-managed reservations. A timely request will not become late solely through Journey processing delay. Keep the acknowledgment; an unconfirmed supplier contact or AI request should not be assumed to have cancelled the booking.

A non-refundable rate may retain the disclosed amount for voluntary cancellation, early departure or a no-show, but is not an exemption from remedies for nonperformance, misdescription, a Journey-caused error or mandatory law. A missed first night may cause remaining nights to be cancelled under the disclosed property policy; contact the property and Journey promptly if arriving late. Changes may require cancellation/rebooking and a new price, which must be accepted before commitment. Separate bookings in an itinerary may have different conditions. Date-specific accommodation, passenger transport, catering or leisure services may be exempt from a general distance-contract cooling-off right under applicable law; the Legend subscription withdrawal provision does not itself make those bookings refundable. Conversely, separate confirmations do not exclude mandatory package-travel or linked-travel protections when the actual arrangement qualifies for them.

If the supplier cancels or materially changes a confirmed booking, we will notify you promptly after receiving reliable notice and administer the remedy due under the accepted offer and law. You need not accept a different property or materially inferior service. We may offer an alternative subject to your approval or refund the undelivered booking when owed. Journey does not generally promise to fund replacement inventory or related travel costs, except where expressly undertaken or legally required. A supplier's departure from the Alliance network does not cancel its outstanding contractual obligations.

## 7. Refunds, points and payment disputes

Journey will ordinarily initiate an approved refund it is responsible for within five business days of approval or cancellation giving rise to the refund, and sooner where law requires. Bank posting time varies; ask support if it does not appear. Refund to the original method is the default. If that is impossible, we arrange a secure lawful alternative with the payer rather than imposing a voucher or unrelated account. A required refund is not capped by fees retained by Journey or delayed indefinitely until a supplier returns funds.

Points/cash purchases are returned in their original forms as applicable, including attribution to the original contributors under pooling rules. A failed or unconfirmed request releases points holds after reconciliation, ordinarily within 72 hours. Restored points retain their original restrictions; if Journey or a supplier cancels without member fault and points would otherwise have expired while committed to the booking, their redemption period is extended for at least 90 days after restoration, or longer where law requires. Earned points on refunded spend may be reversed under the loyalty rules. The current points-value floor in the Membership & Loyalty Terms is not overridden here.

Contact us promptly about a problem so we can investigate, without delaying your bank or statutory deadlines. We may provide relevant terms, consent, transaction, delivery, refund and correspondence records to the processor or issuer to respond to a dispute, subject to privacy law. A knowingly false dispute or double recovery is prohibited; a good-faith dispute is not fraud or grounds for automatic forfeiture. These terms do not require you to waive or postpone statutory or card-network dispute rights. A dispute outcome does not permit a duplicate refund or an unauthorized re-debit.

## 8. Guests, risks, insurance and extraordinary events

Comply with disclosed occupancy, conduct, check-in, pet, smoking and safety rules and applicable law. You are responsible for damage or additional services you cause or authorize to the extent legally established, not automatically for every allegation against another guest. Providers may refuse unsafe or unlawful conduct under their rules and law; any forfeiture must have a lawful basis.

You are responsible for necessary travel documents, entry permissions and destination requirements. Journey's recommendations are not legal or immigration advice or a guarantee of safety. Consider suitable insurance from an authorized provider; Journey is not an insurer merely because it displays a policy. Insurance has separate exclusions and claims procedures.

Weather, closures, strikes, public-health events and other events outside reasonable control may affect service. Refunds follow the accepted terms and applicable law; a force-majeure label does not automatically excuse every duty or let an obligor keep money for unperformed services where a refund is required. Independent supplier performance and lawful liability limitations are governed by these terms, the Experience Booking Terms when applicable, and the general Terms & Conditions.

## 9. Membership, third parties, governing terms and contact

Member rates and awards depend on the disclosed property and program participation. No nomination or Alliance label alone guarantees an upgrade or other perk. New Journey Experience bookings require a free Journey account under the Experience Booking Terms; any enrollment into a distinct Alliance Partner program must also be identified before acceptance. Booking does not purchase paid Legend membership or opt you into marketing.

For services sourced through Viator, Blacklane or another identified intermediary, the applicable third-party booking, operator, passenger and cancellation conditions are linked or supplied before purchase and incorporated for that service only. They do not silently transfer Journey's own obligations or replace your Journey dispute agreement for claims against Journey. The general Terms & Conditions supply the coordinated warranties, liability limits, lawful indemnity, dispute process and mandatory-rights exceptions. Sections 4 and 7 here control their specific refund remedies; no generic liability cap reduces a refund expressly owed.
